The roleplaying game “Old Gods of Appalachia” is expanding its universe with the introduction of “Deeper Still,” now on Backerkit. Known for its unique blend of folklore and eldritch horror, the game deepens with three new books that bring additional lore, character options, and detailed adventures, enhancing the overall game experience.
The expansion, enriched by the original creators Cam Collins and Steve Shell, integrates key locations and lore directly from the podcast that inspired the game.
“Deeper Still” is not only designed for existing players but also offers an entry point for newcomers with several pledge levels available. Among the notable rewards is a unique pendant with special game mechanics, offered for free in a limited-edition alternate finish to backers who pledge within the first 48 hours.
The campaign has already garnered significant support, raising $475,074, which substantially exceeds its $100,000 goal. With 22 days remaining and the campaign ending on September 21st, there is still an opportunity for backers to join and explore deeper into the mythos of Appalachia.
