It’s time to celebrate Pokémon featured in the 2024 Pokémon World Championships key art with special Tera Raid Battles and mass outbreaks! Until Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing in 1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles while Riolu, Comfey, and Wattrel will be appearing in mass outbreaks across various locations.
During this event, Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing in 1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Chest Form Gimmighoul will have various Tera Types. If you challenge one in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you’ll have a small chance to encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul, which doesn’t normally appear during regular gameplay!

During this event, mass outbreaks of Wattrel will be appearing throughout the Paldea region, mass outbreaks of Riolu will be appearing throughout the land of Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Comfey will be appearing throughout the Terarium at Blueberry Academy.
Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks. Pokémon appearing in these special mass outbreaks are also more likely to have the Pumped-Up Mark, so don’t miss your chance to find one!

• You’ll be able to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles after completing Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story. If you haven’t completed the main story, you may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.

• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

From Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing in 1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles.
The Coin Chest Pokémon is prominently featured on the new artwork created to celebrate the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, and the Chest Form Gimmighoul you’ll face during this event will have various Tera Types. If you challenge one in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you might even encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul, which doesn’t normally appear during regular gameplay.
Whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon. To find the Tera Pokémon featured in this event, you’ll also need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. To do so, follow these steps:
- Select Poké Portal in the X menu.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Check Poké Portal News.
