Scott Snyder, Jock, Becky Cloonan Announce New Titles

DSTLRY announced two new comic projects with talents Scott Snyder, Jock, and Becky Cloonan.

Scott Snyder and Jock team up for You Won’t Feel a Thing, a new “brutal noir” comic series launching November 2024 from DSTLRY.  The two creators previously worked together on Wytches at Image Comics, a project that has been optioned for an animated series.

You Won’t Feel a Thing is the story of a former detective living in a retirement home with a brain tumor that’s taking his memories.  A serial killer case from his past has returned, but he’s the only one who believes that.

The murder mystery will be told in a three-issue series, with the first issue due in November.  Each issue is 48 pages and perfect-bound with wraparound covers with spot gloss. The company promises multiple covers, limited variants, and incentives.

Snyder says, “You Wont Feel a Thing is by far the most haunting and atmospheric project Ive ever worked on… with a healthy sheen of psychological (and very literal) horror.”

Becky Cloonan is also working on a horror comic for DSTLRY.  Come Find Me: An Autumnal Offering is an anthology of folk horror short stories.  The one-shot will publish in late October in the same format described above, 48 pages perfect-bound with wraparound covers with spot gloss. Contributors include E.M. Carroll, HamletMachine, Vanesa R. Del Rey, Celine Loup, Molly Mendoza, and Cloonan.

Said Cloonan, “From a place of selfishness, these are my favorite voices in horror comics, and uniting them has been a nightmare come true.  Much like my first contribution in DSTLRYs one-shot The Devils Cut, you may just see some of these stories set the stage for larger projects.”

Cloonan previously co-created Somna for DSTLRY with Tula Lotay, which won an Eisner this year for Best New Series (see “Eisner Awards 2024“).
