WizKids has announced DC Forever, an asymmetrical deck-building game that pits teams of heroes and rogues from the DC universe against each other. The new game will launch in March.
In DC Forever, each player chooses a side to lead, heroes or rogues. Using the game’s deck-building mechanic, they recruit reinforcements from a pool of 18 popular DC characters and developing their deck to further their strategy. The heroes can then be used to pursue their master plan or to confront the opposing forces in a number of iconic DC Comics locations from Gotham City to Atlantis.
The game comes with 180 cards, more than 60 tokens, and 18 character standees. DC Forever is intended for 2 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in about half an hour. MSRP is $49.99.

As an additional incentive, WizKids is offering a DC Forever Foil Card Pack with each unit of DC Forever pre-ordered. This pack features a half dozen character cards from the game with a foil treatment.
WizKids will offer The Sandman, a DC HeroClix Iconix set, in January (see “Explore the Kingdom of Dreams with ‘DC HeroClix Iconix’ Set”), following Iconix sets featuring Superman and Captain America later this year (see “Two New ‘HeroClix Iconix’ Sets Incoming”).
