KessCo has officially announced the introduction of a new tabletop game, “Luffy’s Bento Panic,” inspired by the popular anime series One Piece. The game, licensed by Toei Animation, will be available for early release at Gen Con 2024, scheduled from August 1st to August 4th, with a broader retail release planned for early Q4 2024.
“Luffy’s Bento Panic” is designed for 3-9 players, ages 10 and up, and features a gameplay dynamic centered around characters competing to collect and eat food items prepared by the character Sanji. Players can engage in various actions such as grabbing, stealing, or eating food to gain points, with the ultimate goal of consuming the most food to win. Special attention must be paid to the character Luffy, whose appetite may disrupt other players’ strategies.
Alex Kessler, CEO of KessCo, commented on the game’s release: “We are proud to present ‘Luffy’s Bento Panic,’ a game that reflects the spirited and chaotic world of One Piece. We look forward to its debut at Gen Con 2024 and anticipate a positive reception from both fans of the series and tabletop gamers.”
The game will first be available to Gen Con 2024 attendees, with additional purchasing opportunities to be announced through KESS Entertainment’s social media channels.
