Poison–Tera Type Swampert with the Mightiest Mark now appearing at 7-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet until June 2 at 23:59 UTC

Catch a Swampert with the Mightiest Mark!
Swampert will be appearing at black Tera Raid crystals from Friday, May 31, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, then again from Friday, June 7, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.

Swampert cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Swampert appearing during this event has Poison as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

During the latter half of this event—from Friday, June 7, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 23:59 UTC—Blissey will be appearing more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Blissey will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them! Defeating Blissey will yield some delightful rewards, such as various Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies.

This special Swampert can be caught only once per save data. If you caught this Swampert previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Swampert to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.

This Swampert may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

5-star Tera Raid Battles: Blissey (Friday, June 7, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 23:59 UTC)

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Check the Poké Portal for more information about what Pokémon are appearing in Tera Raid Battles.

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• After completing certain postgame events, you’ll be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. However, players who haven’t completed these events may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• You’ll be able to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles after completing Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story. If you haven’t completed the main story, you may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Terms apply. Learn more at https://www.nintendo.com/switch-online.
• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

Poison–Tera Type Swampert will soon appear at black Tera Raid crystals, and you’ll also find Blissey in 5-star Tera Raid Battles.

You’ll face a tough battle as Swampert strong-arms its way into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet 7-star Tera Raid Battles. The Mud Fish Pokémon will appear at black Tera Raid crystals from Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, then again from Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

Swampert cannot normally be encountered in Paldea—although you can use Blueberry Points to encounter Mudkip in Blueberry Academy’s Terarium—and the Swampert appearing during this event has Poison as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

During the latter half of this event—from Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT—Blissey will be appearing more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Blissey will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them! Defeating Blissey will yield some delightful rewards, such as various Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies.

Whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon. To find the Tera Pokémon featured in this event, you’ll also need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Select Poké Portal in the X menu.
  2. Select Mystery Gift.
  3. Select Check Poké Portal News.

To challenge Poison–Tera Type Swampert with the Mightiest Mark, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. This special Swampert can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Swampert if you’ve already caught it to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Poison Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
