Addax Games has launched its latest tabletop game, Rove, on Kickstarter, achieving significant funding success. Designed for 1 to 4 players, Rove offers a cooperative campaign experience in a fantasy world on the verge of succumbing to nature.
Rove immerses players in the fantasy continent of Lalos, where they face a series of environmental and societal threats. It features an expansive campaign of 50 scenarios that allow for various narrative paths and strategic combat influenced by players’ choices throughout the game. This system of choice and consequence ensures that each gaming session can lead to different outcomes, adding replay value.
The game introduces a “Rally & Rave” card system where each card has dual functionalities, affecting the gameplay dynamically as players activate different abilities. This system encourages players to think strategically about when and how to use their cards for optimal effect.
Character progression is integral to Rove, with each character having at least two development paths. These paths aim to enhance the characters’ abilities significantly, preparing them to tackle the challenges presented by the world of Chorus.
As of now, Rove has garnered $219,548 in pledges, far surpassing its initial goal of $40,000, with 1,475 backers and 21 days remaining until the campaign ends on June 7. This strong backing underscores the community’s enthusiasm and support for this innovative gaming experience.
