BOOM! Studios will launch Hello Darkness, a new ongoing comic anthology series, with a new “Something Is Killing the Children” story by james Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, a story by Garth Ennis and Becky Cloonan, and other gems beginning in the first issue, in July.
The “Something Is Killing the Children” story will run six issues; a story by Garth Ennis and Becky Cloonan, which also begins in the first issue, will run for seven. Other creators with work in the first issue include Brian Azzarello, Vanesa R. Del Rey, John Arcudi, and Ryan Sook.
The A covers for the series will be by Paolo Rivera, and B covers by Jenny Frison. Each issue will also include a guest artist variant; Peach Momoko contributes the guest artist variant for issue #1.
Throughout the series, a wide range of other creators will contribute work, including R.L. Stine, Francesco Francavilla, Cullen Bunn, Sas Milledge, Sarah Gailey, Liana Kangas, Marguerite Bennett, Michael Conrad, Martín Morazzo, Andy Lanning, Trevor Hairsine, Steve Orlando, Genevieve Valentine, Jude Ellison S. Doyle, Letizia Cadonici, Sarah Andersen, and more.
The first issue will be released on July 24, at a $5.99 MSRP.
