Ultimate Guard Gets ‘Magic: The Gathering’ License

Wizards of the Coast has awarded Ultimate Guard a license to produce gaming accessories based on its Magic: The Gathering brand, the companies announced.  The license allows Ultimate Guard to release products tied to Magic: The Gathering beginning this year with the Bloomburrow set, which launches August 2 (see “’Bloomburrow’ Product Line Deets Revealed”).

Ultimate Guard’s Bloomburrow line will include Sidewinder 100+ Xenoskin deck boxes featuring the Borderless Field Notes art of several Calamity Beasts of Bloomburrow; a line of Zipfolio 360 Xenoskin binders; an Omnihive 1000+ Xenoskin, a sustainable RTE Boulder 100+, and an illustrated Play-Mat.

CEO of heo America and General Manager of Ultimate Guard Patrick Hildebrant noted the possibilities the new license offers. “This amazing opportunity opens the door to a wealth of creative possibilities,” he said. “Our hope is that the community will see a bit of their own passion and personality reflected in these products.”
