Mini Rogue – Season 2 Surpasses Kickstarter Goal
Nuts! Publishing recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for “The Council,” the second season of the roguelike microgame Mini Rogue. The campaign has successfully exceeded its funding target, garnering $49,341 against a goal of $14,856, with 811 backers and 13 days remaining until its conclusion on April 30.
“The Council” is a standalone expansion that can be played without the base game of Mini Rogue. It is designed to accommodate solo players as well as groups in both cooperative and competitive formats. The expansion offers the option to integrate with the base game, enhancing gameplay with additional cards and challenges.
This expansion introduces several new modules that add complexity and variety to the game. Among these are the Delving cards, which present players with challenging choices that can increase the difficulty of the game. The Torments feature adds a layer of complexity with a curse that affects gameplay dynamics.
“The Council” includes new characters such as a Druidess who can transform into a bear, and two other characters, the Occultist and the Craftsman, who bring unique abilities to enhance gameplay. This brings the total to 16 characters available in this expansion, with all characters from the previous season being re-illustrated by artist Nicolas Roblin.
The expansion also introduces new bosses, including The Champion’s Remains, and new game elements such as Cursed Jewelry and Scrolls. These additions provide players with more strategic options and ways to interact with the game.
