Geeknson, known for their innovative gaming tables, has returned to Kickstarter with a new campaign titled “The Megan Plus.” This latest project aims to build upon the success of the original Megan Table, which has been a significant factor in the company’s growth, with over 2,500 units sold globally. The campaign has already garnered substantial support, achieving $118,440 in pledges against a $63,380 goal, with 26 days left until its conclusion on May 7.
The Megan Plus introduces several enhancements and new features aimed at improving the gaming experience. The project adds five new table sizes to the Megan lineup and introduces advancements like Megan Crown, a longer version of the Megan Wing table, and new versatile coffee tables designed for multifunctional use.
One of the notable innovations is the Megan Hex Gem, an extended variant of the original Hex Table, known for its unique shape and design. Additionally, the campaign marks the debut of remote-controlled, battery-powered LED lights for the Megan tables, aiming to enhance the ambiance of gaming sessions.
The campaign also focuses on practicality and customization options. It introduces under-the-table leaf storage and convertible height legs, allowing for easy adjustments to table height. New material options, such as Eco Rustic wood and Wax Oil finishes, offer more variety in aesthetics and functionality.
In terms of fabrics, the campaign has replaced previous materials with new Matt Velvet, promising an improvement in color vibrancy and texture. Furthermore, the introduction of new accessories, including a Triangle Counter Holder, T-Board, Modular Counter Station, and the unique Cat Leaf, along with a range of acrylic accessories in various colors, reflects Geeknson’s commitment to enhancing usability and enjoyment.
The Megan Plus campaign offers an opportunity for interested backers to experience the table firsthand. Geeknson has opened its showroom in Worcestershire for presentations, and the table will also be featured at UKGE 2024, providing a chance to explore the table and its accessories before committing to a pledge.
