This project aims to provide a substantial resource for Dungeons & Dragons 5e players and Dungeon Masters, featuring over 30 new adventures, 100 new monsters, and various gameplay enhancements.
Designed to facilitate game management and enhance player experience, “Lairs & Legends 2” offers an array of adventures, stand-alone encounters, and monsters, alongside new rule sets and other resources. The content is intended to be easily integrated into game sessions, with a focus on clear formatting and intuitive use.
The Kickstarter campaign also features exclusive offerings, such as limited-edition alternate hardcovers for “Lairs & Legends 2” and “Loot & Lore 2,” which are stated to be available only through this fundraising event.
In addition to adventures and encounters, the project includes puzzles, traps, magic items, custom rule sets, monster templates, and random table sets. Stretch goals have been set to expand these resources further as the campaign progresses.
Highlighting the content, “Lairs & Legends 2” contains six three-part adventure arcs and 12 stand-alone adventures, accommodating various levels of play. The project emphasizes the creation of new monsters tailored to fit the thematic and environmental contexts of their respective adventures.
New rule sets introduced in “Loot & Lore 2” aim to expand gameplay mechanics, covering areas such as skill challenges, naval combat, player rewards, diseases, mental health, and spell dueling.
The creators have declared that no AI-generated content will be used in the production of “Lairs & Legends 2” or “Loot & Lore 2.” The artwork featured in the campaign is credited to artists Brendan Lancaster, Al Firadusi, Mitch Mueller, and Isiah Bradley, with plans to include additional artists to complete the artwork for the books.
