April Pokémon GO Community Day Classic runs on April 7 and features Bagon, Shiny Bagon, special event bonuses and more

Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Catch the Rock Head Pokémon, enjoy great event bonuses, and more.

Bagon is charging headfirst into Pokémon GO’s April 2024 Community Day Classic, which will run on April 7, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. First discovered in the Hoenn region, this Dragon-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event—and lucky Trainers just might encounter a Shiny Bagon! You can also rock and roll with event bonuses that include triple XP for catching Pokémon, as well as a three-hour duration for Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event. On top of that, during the event or up to two hours afterward, you’ll be able to evolve Bagon’s first evolution Shelgon into a Salamence that knows the Charged Attack Outrage.

You’ll also be able to get your research on with a Bagon Community Day Classic–exclusive Special Research story. Tickets are available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). These tickets are available for purchase in the in-game shop. Trainers can also take on Field Research at no cost, catching Bagon to earn rewards that include Stardust, Great Balls, encounters with Bagon, and more.

Fly high (again, metaphorically) with Bagon, Trainers!
