New Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid Battle event now underway: Brute Bonnet is appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Iron Hands is appearing in Pokémon Violet until March 24 at 23:59 UTC

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:

From Friday, March 22, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, Brute Bonnet will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Scarlet game and Iron Hands will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Violet game.

These Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them—and try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!

5-star Tera Raid Battles: Iron Hands

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Check the Poké Portal for more information about what Pokémon are appearing in Tera Raid Battles.

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• You’ll be able to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles after completing Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story. If you haven’t completed the main story, you may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• You can participate in Tera Raid Battles against Pokémon that don’t appear in the version of the game you’re playing by joining a Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer with the opposite version of the game.
• A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Terms apply. Learn more at https://www.nintendo.com/switch-online.
• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

These version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon are appearing soon in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet 5-star Tera Raid Battles.

Looking for that last Paradox Pokémon or trying to catch one with a different Tera Type? From Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll be able to take on Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Paradox Pokémon encounters are version exclusive, so look for Brute Bonnet in Pokémon Scarlet and Iron Hands in Pokémon Violet. You can also join Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection. Both Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands will have various Tera Types, so make sure you’re properly prepared before challenging them.

For the opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.
