Thunderworks Games will release Metrorunner, a new route building board game by Stephen Kerr, into retail in summer 2024.
In this game, players assume the roles of futuristic runners in Mirror City’s underworld. They will traverse the districts of Mirror City on the Metro rail line and compete to fulfill contracts for mega-corps. The runners will need to collect resources along the way to complete their jobs, growing their reputation and credit as they go. Players will also have to plot to avoid and cut off other runners as well as use their skills and upgrades to hack network nodes and manipulate the central grid. The runner that rises above the rest will earn an honored place in Mirror City history.
Metrorunner is for one to five players, ages 14 and up, and will play in 30 to 90 minutes.
Thunderworks Games also recently unveiled Stonespine Architects: A Roll Player Tale, a new drafting game (see “‘Stonespine Architects: A Roll Player Tale’“).
