Just when you thought you’d mastered the Pokémon GO Community Day, the December Community Day comes along to challenge your strength, fortitude, and preparedness. A Community Day unlike any other, so immense in scope that it could not be contained by just a single day! On December 16 and 17, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Pokémon from all the Community Days in 2023 will appear more frequently in the wild—check the schedule below to see when your favorites will be frolicking about! And if you’re missing Pokémon featured in Community Days in 2022, don’t worry—they’ll be hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids. Whether you missed out on a Community Day, can’t get enough of a certain Pokémon, or just want the opportunity to rack up Stardust and XP, there’s something for everyone in the December 2023 Community Day event.

On December 16, Slowpoke, Galarian Slowpoke, Togetic, Chespin, Fennekin, and Noibat will appear more frequently in the wild. On December 17, Poliwag, Wooper, Paldean Wooper, Timburr, Axew, Froakie, and Grubbin will appear more frequently in the wild. A handful of Pokémon will appear in the wild on both Saturday and Sunday for the last 10 minutes of each hour, including Charmander, Squirtle, Mareep, Swinub, and Larvitar.

Get ready for epic event bonuses befitting the greatest Community Day of the year, in effect from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 16 and 17.

As if you aren’t going to be busy enough catching and evolving Pokémon, the biggest Community Day event of the year includes plenty of opportunities to showcase your skills as a Pokémon researcher. Access to the Community Day Special Research story is available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing in your local currency). Take on Timed Research to earn King’s Rocks, Magnetic Lures, and encounters with featured Community Day Pokémon. And fret not—finishing Field Research tasks will also earn encounters with the featured Pokémon.

Brilliant battlers know that one of the best parts of Community Day is the opportunity to evolve a Pokémon that knows a featured attack. With a hefty list of Pokémon in this event, there’s an equally lengthy list of attacks you can teach your Pokémon if you evolve them between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on either Saturday or Sunday.

Some of these Pokémon—and attacks—are especially useful for the GO Battle League, and there’s so much happening during this event that it might be a good idea to make a list of which Pokémon you want to prioritize evolving. Charizard, Alolan Sandslash, Ampharos, Jumpluff, Walrein, Togekiss, Haxorus, and Obstagoon all appear frequently in the GO Battle League, and they’re worth taking the time to evolve during the event.
