Lucky Duck Games will release Divinus, a new tile-laying game by Filip Milunski, into U.S. retail on March 29, 2024.
Divinus was originally launched through Gamefound back in 2021 (see “‘Divinus’ on Gamefound“). It is a competitive tile-laying legacy game with digital components where players take on the roles of demigods looking to ascend to a new pantheon. The game takes place over the course of 12 scenarios where players will explore, complete quests, and participate in a battle between the Greek and Norse pantheons.
Scenarios start off with the players opening a sealed box containing new quests, components, stickers, Gods, and gameplay mechanisms, and then the Divinus app gives them a narrative to play through. The primary mechanic revolves around spending dice to explore new tiles from a world board, then laying them onto a demigod map to make patterns and complete quests and God goals. Along the way, the players will collect artifacts and gain new titles as they earn them. Completing quests and goals will also allow players to make various decisions that affect the course of the game through the app.
This game is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 to 60 minutes. It will retail for $70.
