For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is deeply honored to feature the art of the incredible Midori Gale. This talented artist was also a part of the extraordinary project of Ilustradoras Unidas titled Pokedex Ilustrada.
“Art is my profession, my job,” our featured artist shared with the Pokémon Blog Team. “And it’s also my escape, my form, and my form of expression.”
“I’ve never been the biggest Pokémon fan because I don’t own a console and haven’t played any of the games. So, I don’t have the type of connection with it, but at this point, I think it’s like Harry Potter. Many people identify with a house without having to read the books or watch the movies several times. And I mention this because it also happens with the Pokémon types and designs,” she explained.
Midori revealed that she has a good time combining her passion for art and affection for Pokémon, and she doesn’t stop and think in depth about it. She prefers to enjoy it instead.
When it’s time to choose her favorite Pokémon, the answer is clear: “It’s Oddish.”
