Skybound has announced that the second issue of the smash hit Energon Universe series Transformers will receive a second printing, featuring three new covers that spotlight favorite characters and their first appearances in the series.
Available in comic book shops on December 20, 2023, the new Transformers #2 covers by Jason Howard will feature Soundwave, Cliffjumper, and an ode to the epic first appearance of iconic G.I. JOE character Duke—celebrating a massive moment in the shared Energon Universe.
The acclaimed new series Transformers from writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson and colorist Mike Spicer, alongside Void Rivals from the iconic Oblivion Song team of Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici, continues to sell out at the distributor level, with fan demand prompting subsequent printings for every issue published since each series launched.
Additional upcoming subsequent printings include Void Rivals #1-4 printings with new covers highlight each issue’s connection to Transformers lore, with covers depicting fan-favorite characters including Jetfire, Skuxxoid, the Quintesson Prosecutor and Shockwave. Plus, a new Void Rivals #5 cover that will feature five different covers, each spotlighting a different face of the Quintesson Judge, and a new Transformers # 1 cover feature Ratchet and Starscream. All of these covers will be available on December 13, 2023 alongside the debut of Transformers #3.
