Timburr and Shiny Timburr Pokémon GO Community Day now underway in the Americas and Greenland from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, you can now evolve Gurdurr to get Conkeldurr that knows Brutal Swing

Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Timburr takes over with special event bonuses and more this October Community Day.

Wood you join us in searching for the Fighting-type Pokémon Timburr during Pokémon GO’s October 2023 Community Day? The Muscular Pokémon, originally discovered in Unova, will be in the spotlight on October 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this time, Timburr will appear more frequently in the wild, and lucky Trainers might even encounter a Shiny Timburr. Evolve Gurdurr (Timburr’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Conkeldurr that knows the Charged Attack Brutal Swing.

Beef up your resources while catching the Muscular Pokémon with the following event bonuses!

  • 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers Level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Get your Community Day research on with themed Field Research tasks and a Special Research story. Complete Field Research tasks to earn rewards including Great Balls, Ultra Balls, encounters with Timburr, and more. Want to flex even harder? The Community Day Special Research story, Muscle Memories, is available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Tickets are available in the in-game shop to purchase or to gift.

Make the most of the Community Day fun with four-star Raid Battles featuring Gurdurr from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. After a successful Raid Battle, more Timburr will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. These four-star raids are not accessible via Remote Raid Passes—they can only be accessed with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.

  • For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Timburr Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, Muscle Memories.
  • Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
  • Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.* To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.

Tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.

Event Bonuses

Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day

Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time

After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Timburr to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

Gurdurr will be appearing in four-star raids!

You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these Raid Battles.

Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles

Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Gurdurr, additional Timburr will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!*

*Timburr that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during October Community Day’s three-hour event period.

Field Research

October Community Day–themed Field Research will be available! Catch Timburr to earn rewards such as additional encounters with Timburr, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and more!

Stickers

You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
