Just one sneak peek at the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Scarlet & Violet—Paradox Rift, isn’t enough! We wanted to give you a preview of even more awesome cards that can be found when this expansion arrives on November 3, 2023. Let’s take a look.

The Future Pokémon Iron Moth is ready to turn up the heat on your opponents, making it seem right at home amid an erupting volcano and a flowing stream of lava. When this Pokémon flies into battle from your Bench, it can use its Thermal Reactor Ability to draw power from your other Pokémon. When making this transition, the Ability allows you to move any amount of Fire Energy from your other Pokémon to Iron Moth. Once it’s warmed up and ready to go, Iron Moth can unleash its mighty Heat Ray attack, but be aware that once you use Heat Ray, you’re unable to use it during your next turn.

Can you spot the Ancient Pokémon Brute Bonnet lurking in this psychedelic forest? Artist Tomokazu Komiya’s colorful style helps this card stand out in any collection. Your opponent will certainly notice the card after you use its Toxic Powder Ability to make both Active Pokémon Poisoned (assuming Brute Bonnet has an Ancient Booster Energy Capsule attached, of course). They’ll also remember the damage you bring down with Brute Bonnet’s Rampaging Hammer attack. This attack has a restriction similar (but not identical) to Iron Moth’s Heat Ray—using this attack makes Brute Bonnet unable to attack during your next turn.

The always-charming Jirachi looks as adorable as ever as it frolics in the nighttime air. The little Wish Pokémon may not pack a punch on its card, but it’s always ready to lend some valuable support to your team. Jirachi’s Stellar Veil Ability protects your Benched Pokémon from damage counters placed by effects of attacks used by your opponent’s Basic Pokémon. Its Charge Energy attack helps energize your team by letting you pull two Basic Energy cards from your deck and put them into your hand.

Mela, the boss of Team Star’s Fire crew, is looking as surly as ever as she lurks in front of her crew’s base. This Supporter has a notable restriction—it can only be used if any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out during your opponent’s last turn—but it can prove useful if your hand is running low on cards. Not only does it allow you to attach a Basic Fire Energy card from your discard pile to one of your Pokémon, but you can also draw cards until you have six in your hand. Not a bad way to refresh your options.

Expand a Pokémon’s repertoire of moves by attaching this Technical Machine to it. With this card and just one Energy, your Pokémon can use the Turbo Energize attack, which allows you to take two Basic Energy cards from your deck and attach them to any of your Benched Pokémon. Get your backup squad ready for action! Just note that you’ll have to discard this Pokémon Tool once your turn is complete.

You’ll find these cards, the amazing cards from our first preview, and many more when the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paradox Rift expansion releases on November 3, 2023.
