Alien Books, which has struck a deal with Valiant Entertainment to create content in the Valiant Universe, has announced a set of December releases that includes an omnibus edition of Jim Shooter’s original Eternal Warrior series and prestige-format X-O Manowar Unconquered and Ninjak Superkillers comics.
Eternal Warrior Classic Omnibus HC Vol 1 will collect Eternal Warrior (1992) #1-25, Eternal Warrior Yearbook (1993) #1, Archer & Armstrong (1992) #25, Harbinger (1992) #32, Secret Weapons (1993) #3 and #6-10, and Valiant Era Companion (1993) #1. The omnibus will include work by Shooter, who created the character with Don Perlin in 1992, as well as writers Barry Windsor-Smith, Kevin Van Hook, and Mark Moretti and art by John Dixon and Moretti. The 912-page hardcover will be released on December 6, 2023, with an MSRP of $124.99.
Alien also released additional details on its December releases (see “Alien Announces New Valiant Titles”). X-O Manowar Unconquered (Prestige Ed.) #1, by writers Becky Cloonan and Michael Conrad and artist Liam Sharp, will collect the three previously published issues of the series in a prestige-edition comic with an MSRP of $12.99. That title will be released on December 6, with X-O Manowar Unconquered #4 following on December 13.
While Ninjak Superkillers, by writer Jeff Parker and artist Mike Norton, had originally been solicited as a four-issue series, it looks like Alien will instead package it as two prestige-format comics. The first, a 48-page issue, will be released on December 20, 2023, with an MSRP of $9.99.
Also due out in December: Book of Shadows, by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Vicente Cifuentes. The hardcover collection of issues #1-4 will be published on December 27, 2023, with an MSRP of $24.99.
Valiant and Alien announced their partnership in June 2023 (see “Valiant and Alien Books Form New Partnership“).
