Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
Complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with this wondrous Grass-type Pokémon.
Get ready for a day of research with the Pokémon GO Oddish Research Day on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this time, Trainers can spin Photo Discs at PokéStops to get Field Research tasks that award encounters with Oddish. There’s even a chance that you’ll encounter a Shiny one! You’ll also have an increased chance of finding an XXS or XXL Oddish, which are perfect for showing off in PokéStop Showcases during the event.
You can also take advantage of the 2× Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon during the event. And some Pokémon—such as Paras, Shroomish, and Foongus—already award more Stardust than most Pokémon when caught, so this is a great time to stock up in preparation for powering up your next heavy hitter. Don’t forget to pop a Star Piece or two if you have any in your Item Bag!
These Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. If the name is in italics, you may even encounter a Shiny one!
- Paras
- Venonat
- Bellsprout
- Shroomish
- Roselia
- Cacnea
- Foongus
- Bounsweet
Don’t leaf your research caps at home for this one, Trainers!
