For this edition of “FanArt Friday,” we’re lucky to display the art of the wonderful Frank Afox.
Art is “magic in real life” for Frank. “Creating worlds and characters that come from the heart is like magic,” he explained to the Pokémon Blog Team.
He described Pokémon as his second obsession in life, after dinosaurs (his favorite is Branchiosaurus).
“I’ve always been excited about exploring new regions and ended up falling in love with new Pokémon in each one.”
Frank said that being able to draw Pokémon is an amazing experience for him.
“The Franchise has such a huge reach, and the love the fans give you is so cool. And I’ve always wanted to create my own region” he shared.
He owes his favorite Pokémon to the Kalos Champion, Diantha, because the moment he saw her Gardevoir mega evolve, he was captivated. He also admires her character: “She is an actress, a singer, a model, and… a champion.”
