For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is ecstatic to feature the art of Camilla, also known as Kitara. She is one of the talented admins of Ilustradoras Unidas and one of the organizers of Pokédex Ilustrada.
For Kitara, Art “is a way to express my emotions since it’s hard for me to express them. It’s also a distraction from my day-to-day life and a means to see my ideas reflected in 2D.”
Pokémon is more than just a feeling for our featured artist. She described it as a passion. “Pokémon is a creative hobby. I like to play the older games and draw inspiration from their designs. It’s like they are one of my many muses,” she added.
Combining her two passions is a weird and wonderful experience for Kitara. “You can express your love for something by engaging in activities you love. It’s kind of funny when we analyze it.”
Kitara’s favorite Pokémon is Tropius. “Maybe it’s not as popular as others because of her design or stats, but Tropius is my unconditional baby, and I would have everything of hers if I could. From t-shirts to a life-size stuffed animal!”
