Phase III of Star Wars: The High Republic will launch in Fall 2023, and Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Comics will both continue their ongoing series set within that franchise; Marvel will also launch a new miniseries.
Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight, by writer Charles Soule, is a four-issue miniseries set in the year after the fall of the Starlight Beacon. Ibraim Roberson is the artist for the first issue and Marika Cresta for the second. Marvel will release the first issue on October 4, 2023, with a main cover by Phil Noto and variants by David Marquez and Lee Garbett. Issue #2 will be released on November 8, 2023, with a main cover by Noto and variants by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Cory Smith. The collected edition of the miniseries is slated for release on April 30, 2024, with an MSRP of $19.99.
Next up is Star Wars: The High Republic [Phase III] by writer Cavan Scott and artist Ario Anindito, who have been the creative team for Marvel’s Star Wars: The High Republic comics from the beginning. The first issue will go on sale on November 8, 2023 with a main cover by Noto, variant covers by David Baldeon and Annie Wu, and connecting variants by Mico Suayan. The four-issue series will be collected into a trade paperback that will go on sale on June 2, 2024, with an MSRP of $19.99.
While the comics have not been solicited yet, Dark Horse will continue its all-ages Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures series into Phase III as well. Dark Horse revealed a teaser image at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 and two covers of upcoming issues at the Lucasfilm panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
Star Wars: The High Republic is a multi-platform publishing program that encompasses comics and prose novels for adult, young adult, and middle-grade audiences (see “‘Star Wars: The High Republic’”).
