Jasco Games, a leading name in collectible card games for over 17 years, has undergone a transformation and has rebranded itself as UVS Games. As a part of this rebranding, UVS Games is set to expand its offerings within its flagship UniVersus Collectible Card Game with the introduction of several new intellectual properties (IPs), featuring world-renowned franchises such as Cowboy Bebop, Trigun Stampede, and My Hero Academia.
The UniVersus Collectible Card Game, already a favorite among the UVS community, allows players to engage in imaginative battles featuring popular characters from various universes. As UVS Games, the company is prepared to further bridge the worlds of video games, manga, and anime by launching new products within the UniVersus Collectible Card Game, featuring characters from the aforementioned franchises.
To accommodate the addition of so many new franchises and characters, UVS Games is introducing the Challenger Series. This new product will feature two character cards, a preconstructed deck prepared for tournament play, and a Collector’s Booster Pack of six alt-art foil premium cards.
The Challenger Series: Cowboy Bebop and Challenger Series: Trigun Stampede will feature popular characters such as Spike and Faye from Cowboy Bebop, and Vash the Stampede and Nicholas D. Wolfwood from Trigun Stampede. Players can either boost their existing UniVersus decks or construct new ones using these cards.
Paul Wharshavsky, co-founder of UVS Games, expressed excitement over the company’s rebranding, stating, “Cowboy Bebop, Trigun Stampede, and My Hero Academia franchises coming to the UniVersus card-collecting franchise marks the beginning of our new brand, UVS Games. We can’t wait to share even more exciting news in the coming year.”
Additionally, UVS Games recently announced the release of My Hero Academia: Jet Burn, a new Collectible Card Game Set. This set will include fan-favorite character Hawks and a new type of collectible card: alternate art cards. The set, due for release in time for the holiday season, will be the first to feature the new UniVersus card logo and card frame.
UVS Games has further plans to continue adding world-famous IPs to its existing UniVersus Collectible Card Game line-up, which already includes franchises such as My Hero Academia, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, and Mortal Kombat.
