Seven Seas will be releasing four of its most popular series as boxed sets, each of which will include extras such as posters and postcards. All four are scheduled for release in November 2023.
The Ancient Magus’ Bride, by Kore Yamazaki, is a best-selling manga, with a number of spinoffs as well as an anime. The fantasy romance series centers on a young woman who is sold as a slave but purchased by a magus who intends to make her both his apprentice and his bride. The box set will include Vols. 1-9 of the series, which are the basis for the first season of the anime, along with two double-sided posters, with an MSRP of $119.99.
Made in Abyss, by Akihito Tsukushi, is a fantasy adventure story set in the last unexplored place on earth, a sprawling system of underground caves known as the Abyss that hold the remnants of ancient civilizations. An orphan named Riko explores the caves, accompanied by a robot, searching for traces of her mother, who disappeared in the Abyss years ago. The box set will include volumes 1-5 of the ongoing series, which inspired the first season of the anime, along with two double-sided posters, and will have an MSRP of $69.99.
Dai Dark, by Q Hayashida, is a dark fantasy/sci-fi series with splashes of humor by the creator of Dorohedoro. The main character is a teenager whose bones have magical powers, and therefore are of great interest to many unsavory characters. Since he’s not willing to give them up, he spends his life fending off attackers, along with a skeletal companion, while searching for whoever keeps sending people to attack him. The series is ongoing, with five volumes out so far; Seven Seas will offer Vols. 1-4 as a box set, along with a double-sided poster, with an MSRP of $54.99.
Orange, by Ichigo Takano, is a time-travel shoujo romance that was a New York Times best-seller and also inspired an anime. The series is complete in 7 volumes, and Seven Seas originally released it as two omnibi; the box set will mark the first time the series will be released in English in its original format. The box set will also include eight postcards and will have an MSRP of $79.99.Source: ICv2
