Hamlet: The Village Building Game Giveaway
Hamlet is a medium-weight competitive village building game, where players collectively strive to turn their humble hamlet into a bustling little town. Designed by David Chircop, known for his work on “Petrichor” and “The Pursuit of Happiness”, Hamlet employs a unique tile-placing mechanic that sees players constructing buildings used to create materials, refine resources, earn money, and make essential deliveries – all with the aim of constructing the hamlet’s significant landmark, the Church.
One of Hamlet’s defining features is the use of irregular-shaped tiles that connect together without a grid. This innovative mechanism forms a village layout that is entirely different with every play. The tile placement process organically generates interconnecting paths that villagers use to transport resources across the village, ensuring that no two games will ever feel the same. Since the buildings are communal, a dynamic economy is formed, prompting players to work diligently to provide the village with the resources that are most needed.
Hamlet supports 1 to 4 players, making it a versatile game for solitary play or a fun evening with friends. This Hamlet Week promises to provide an exciting opportunity for board game enthusiasts to immerse themselves in this dynamic village building experience and possibly walk away with their own copy of the game. Join the festivities and help your hamlet grow into a thriving town!
