Link’s latest adventure is here. Explore a transformed kingdom in the Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom game, only on the Nintendo Switch™ system.

An ancient evil has been brewing beneath Hyrule Castle, and time has run out for Link and Zelda. In this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the forces of darkness?

After the events of the last game, Hyrule is being rebuilt. Familiar locations have been dramatically transformed, with new towns, dank caves, and mysterious gaping chasms springing up across the world. Mysterious floating islands have also appeared in the skies—what secrets do they hold?

You’ll use Link’s powerful new abilities—Fuse, Ultrahand, Ascend, and Recall—to make audacious weapons and craft creative ways to travel across the landscape.

Magically fuse objects to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising (and sometimes hilarious) results.

Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate objects. He can even attach things together to create bridges, vehicles, and more.

Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.

Use Recall to reverse an object’s movement, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
