Funko Games and Hasbro have teamed up to release a new line of Cranium games, now available for pre-order on Amazon.com ahead of their launch date in June. The reimagined line of board games includes three Cranium classics and a brand-new game, Cranium Big Brain Detective Game.
Cranium, the popular party game that combines art, trivia, language, and performance into one unique experience, was first introduced to the market in 1998. It quickly became a hit, becoming profitable in just six months and earning the title of the fastest-selling independent board game ever in 2001. Cranium’s success led to the creation of several other brands in just 10 years before being sold to Hasbro in 2008.
The new line of Cranium games includes the Cranium 25th Anniversary Edition, Cranium Big Brain Detective Game, Cranium Hullabaloo, and Cranium Hoopla. The Cranium 25th Anniversary Edition features 18 activities and hundreds of new cards, while Cranium Big Brain Detective Game is an all-new Funko Games original that features an 880-square-inch illustrated game board filled with brain teasing mysteries and puzzles.
Cranium Hullabaloo, a high-energy kids game, has been updated for a new generation with seamless app-driven game modes and gameplay full of creative problem-solving. And in Cranium Hoopla, players race against the clock in a lively, cooperative party game featuring eight categories and over 900 phrases.
All four games are available for pre-order now and will hit shelves at major retailers, including Target and Walmart, on June 2, 2023. The games are also available for pre-order on Amazon. The Cranium 25th Anniversary Edition has an MSRP of $34.99 USD, while Cranium Big Brain Detective Game is priced at $22.99 USD. Cranium Hullabaloo and Cranium Hoopla have MSRPs of $19.99 USD each.
