Walking Wake and Iron Leaves have returned and are now available in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet until May 14 at 4:59 p.m. PDT

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Return to Tera Raid Battles!
You have until Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 23:59 UTC to challenge these version-exclusive Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles! Walking Wake is appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Scarlet game and Iron Leaves is appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Violet game.

These Paradox Pokémon cannot normally be encountered in Paldea. The Walking Wake appearing during this event has Water as its Tera Type, and the Iron Leaves appearing during this event has Psychic as its Tera Type. Work together with your friends to catch these elusive Pokémon from the ancient past and distant future!

These special Paradox Pokémon can each be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against Walking Wake and Iron Leaves to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught them.

These Pokémon may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.

These elusive Paradox Pokémon can soon be found once again at Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Tera Raid crystals.

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are returning to 5-star Tera Raid Battles! You’ll be able to take on these mysterious Paradox Pokémon from Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Water–Tera Type Walking Wake will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Psychic–Tera Type Iron Leaves will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Violet. These version-exclusive Pokémon can’t normally be encountered in Paldea, so try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!

For the opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

These special Walking Wake and Iron Leaves can be caught only once per save data, so if you were able to catch them during their previous appearance, you won’t be able to catch them again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against Walking Wake and Iron Leaves if you’ve already caught them to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
