The first expansion of the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Series is coming to Pokémon Trading Card Game Live on March 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. PDT. For the first time, players will be able to collect and battle with Pokémon TCG cards featuring Pokémon from the Paldea region, powerful Pokémon ex, and the crystallized Tera Pokémon ex on Pokémon TCG Live. Whether it’s Lechonk and Oinkologne ex, the electrifying Miraidon ex, or the atrocious Gyarados ex—there are plenty of cards to collect and experiment with when building decks online.

The Scarlet & Violet Battle Pass will be available for players to level up once Scarlet & Violet becomes available on Pokémon TCG Live. The basic Battle Pass includes a deck featuring the powerful Legendary Pokémon Miraidon making its Pokémon TCG debut as Miraidon ex. Miraidon ex is a Basic Lightning-type Pokémon with the galvanizing Tandem Unit Ability, ensuring that plenty of Basic Lighting-type Pokémon make their way into play during the early turns of the game. Once everything is set up, hit fast and hard with this Pokémon’s Photon Blaster attack—it costs two Lightning and one Colorless Energy, but Flaaffy can help power it up with its Dynamotor Ability.

Players will also be able to unlock a Premium Battle Pass with Crystals that can be earned via completing daily quests, reaching new tiers on the Battle Pass, and leveling up! The Premium Battle Pass includes a deck featuring Gardevoir as a Pokémon ex. Gardevoir ex is a Stage 2 Psychic-type Pokémon with the mystifying Psychic Embrace Ability, allowing it to accelerate a near-endless amount of Basic Psychic Energy onto your Psychic-type Pokémon—provided that the target has enough HP and that the player has enough Basic Psychic Energy in the discard pile. Gardevoir ex can even step into the action and do 190 damage for two Psychic and one Colorless Energy with its Miracle Force attack.

Powerful cards that further empower these decks can be unlocked throughout the course of a season as levels on the Battle Pass are completed. Look forward to additional rewards on the Battle Pass, including booster packs, Coins, Crystals, deck cosmetics, and fashion items for customizing your avatar. The Scarlet & Violet Battle Pass will run from March 30, 2023, until June 8, 2023.
