Dicetale Games and Modiphius Entertainment Announce New Tabletop RPG, Blood and Doom

Dicetale Games and Modiphius Entertainment have teamed up to bring a new tabletop RPG, Blood and Doom, to players everywhere. Set in the fantastical world of Athyr, Blood and Doom immerses players in a dark, gritty, and immersive experience.

The world of Athyr is full of peril and danger, with twelve malevolent cults worshiping extradimensional entities known as the Heralds of Doom. Players will explore lands of adventure and confront a rising tide of monsters as they uncover the secrets of Athyr’s forgotten past.

The game features mechanics that fuel fast-paced, cinematic gameplay, while staying true to the gritty essence of life and death on Athyr. With the Core Rulebook Primer, players can create their own unique characters by choosing from eight archetypes and customizing them with a multitude of traits, powers, spells, weapons, armor types, and more.

The Doomsayer’s Codex Primer: Guide to Athyr will guide players through the vibrant realms of Ethennia and Ishta, while the Doomsayer’s Codex Primer: The Twelve Pillars of Doom will unveil the mysteries of the twelve cults, each steeped in the foul worship of one of the Heralds of Doom.

Players can download the 500+ page primer bundle for free from DriveThruRPG, which includes the Core Rulebook Primer, both Doomsayer’s Codex Primers, a Blood and Doom soundtrack sampler, and a highly detailed map of Athyr.

The Kickstarter campaign for Blood and Doom will launch on April 4th, 2023, offering even more customization options with nine customizable classes, 18 archetypes, over 350 traits, powers, and spells, and more than 60 unique weapons. The final books will also offer a complete coverage of Istha and Ethennia, as well as reveal the mysteries of Evandyr, the Islands of Roshan, and The Sundered Wastes.
