The Quartermaster General game series is making its way into WWII with Quartermaster General: East Front. This new set, as the name implies, takes players to the meat grinder that was the Eastern Front, where Germany and Russia had a knock-down, drag-out fight for years.

A new series of Quartermaster General games debuts in 2023 with the release of Quartermaster General: East Front. The fast-paced, card-driven, game system by Ian Brody shifts its focus from the grand strategic and multiplayer approach of Quartermaster General WW2 Second Edition to two-player and operational-level games. The first title to release, Quartermaster General: East Front, depicts the deadly struggle between the Soviet Union and Germany.
In June of 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union, along with Finland, Romania, and other Axis nations. Germany was seeking another lightning victory, like those attained in Poland, France, and elsewhere; four years and millions of lives later, Soviet troops captured Berlin and forced the German surrender. Quartermaster General: East Front provides an in-depth look at one of the major operational theaters of the World War in less than 2 hours. The game is played over 16 game rounds, each representing three months, starting in Summer 1941 and ending in Spring 1945.
Quartermaster General: East Front is the first completely new game in the system to be published by Ares Games, following the release of the new editions of WW2 Quartermaster General, its expansions Total War and Prelude, and Quartermaster General: 1914, originally published by Griggling Games. The new series will include two more games, depicting the conflict on the Mediterranean and the Western fronts during World War 2.
