Smirk & Dagger will release Behext, a new deck-building game, into retail on April 19, 2023.
In Behext, players take on the roles of Battlemages flinging arcane magic and curses at one another in combat. It is an interactive card game where players need to battle their opponent by casting spells on them, all while avoiding letting their magic get beyond their control as cards are often double-edged swords. The retail version of the core game features six different decks, one for each battle mage, as well as four in-box Mastery Packs that unlock over time.
The game box comes with 6 Battlemage playmats, 6 Willpower markers, 6 ten-card starting decks, 86 Spell cards, 4 Hex tokens, 10 Enhancement tokens, 1st Caster token, 1 Round Tracker, 2 markers, and 4 Mastery Packs. This game is for three to five players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 to 90 minutes. It will retail for $44.99.
Smirk and Dagger will release boop., a new abstract strategy game, into retail (see “‘boop.’ into U.S. Retail“).
