Attack on Titan: The Final Season’s concluding episodes will premiere in March, with this new batch of episodes being split into two parts. The first half of Part 3 of Attack on Titan: The Final Season–no, really we’re not making this up–will debut on March 4, but a release date for the second half of the final final episodes hasn’t been revealed yet.
Crunchyroll confirmed the news alongside a new trailer, revealing that in Japan the episodes will air at 12:25 AM, or 7:25 AM PT / 10:25 AM ET on March 3 in the US. Exact timings for the rest of the world haven’t been worked out yet, although Crunchyroll subscribers usually don’t have long to wait for subbed versions of the episodes to go online through the anime streaming service.
For fans of the Attack on Titan manga and anime, it has been a long wait for new episodes to be produced. Part 2 concluded in April 2022, covering several more chapters of the manga that ended in 2021. The Final Season has so far covered the Marley and part of the War for Paradis arcs, leaving only a handful of chapters left to be adapted for Part 3. For anyone who has read the manga through to the end, you’ll be well aware of how Attack on Titan turns its premise up to 11 as humanity makes its final stand against the prophesized Rumbling event.
The rest of 2023 is set to be another great year for anime fans, starting with a reboot of Trigun that began this month. New seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen and Vinland Saga are coming in 2023, 2017’s Nier: Automata anime adaptation has begun, and you can usually expect plenty of brand-new shows to debut throughout the year alongside these returning heavyweight productions.
