Pokémon GO will officially be participating at Pokémon Festival Jakarta, Pokémon Festival: Jakarta 2022 event now running through January 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time daily with new Field Research, bonuses, in-person activities and more

Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Trainers,

We’re excited to announce that Pokémon GO will be participating at Pokémon Festival Jakarta which will take place from December 8, 2022 to January 8, 2023 and will be held at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) in Jakarta.

Apart from taking part in some special on-ground activities, there will also be some in-game bonuses for all Trainers that visit the venue.

Pokémon Festival: Jakarta 2022

From Thursday, December 8, 2022 to Sunday, January 8, 2023. 8 am to 8 pm local time daily.

Field Research

Complete Field Research tasks that reward encounters with the following Pokémon:

Party Hat Pikachu*
Party Hat Charmander*
Party Hat Bulbasaur*
Party Hat Squirtle*

*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Bonuses

Trainers at PIK can also look forward to the following bonuses:

  • 1/2 Hatch distance
  • Confetti
  • 3x Catch XP
  • Special, in-game Stickers featuring male and female Pikachu from spinning PokéStops and Gyms at the event venue
  • Increased chance of 10km Eggs from spinning PokéStops and Gyms
  • Increased chance of encountering Pikachu in the wild

In-person activities

Trainers that visit the event during certain dates can also look forward to the following:

  • December 10: Pokémon GO Invitational at Pokémon Festival. Join to have a chance to compete with other Trainers and content creators to win exciting prizes. This event will be livestreamed. More details coming soon!
  • December 17-18: Celebrate Community Day at the Pokémon Festival!
