If you’re looking for something a bit different for your RPG sessions, you can check out GeneFunk 2090: Dark Forest, a new sci-fi setting for 5th edition that’s up on Kickstarter now. This setting guide has everything you need to get going in this highly cybernetic land and the dark forest within which your players will find themselves.

GeneFunk 2090. A biopunk/cyberpunk RPG and setting made using the D&D 5E Open Gaming License. Players take on the role of elite mercenaries that specialize in investigation and violence. No magic or fantasy, but tons of cybernetics, genetic enhancements, nanobots, drones, hacking, androids, and high-tech gear!
Dark Forest, also known as Bosque Oscuro, is a remote Peruvian jungle valley filled with treacherous transgenic life of every variety. The players will encounter carnivorous plants, insidious parasites, narcoterrorists, mad scientists, monstrous beasts, mutagenic viruses, horrifying kaiju, and diabolical biological AIs!
The campaign’s really close to its funding goal with 29 days left to go.
