Pokémon GO Greedy Gluttons event now underway in the Asia-Pacific region until November 17 at 8 p.m. local time, Guzzlord and Shiny Munchlax now available in Pokémon GO for the first time to coincide with the event

Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

The Greedy Gluttons event and a Team GO Rocket takeover serve up adventure in Pokémon GO this November!

We hope you brought your appetite, because the Greedy Gluttons event is bringing out some heavy and hungry hitters, including Lickitung, Snorlax, Mega Gyarados, and more! And speaking of hungry, the Ultra Beast Guzzlord has emerged from Ultra Wormholes all over the world!

We also received reports that Team GO Rocket might be cooking up some trouble with different Shadow Pokémon during this time period. Stay alert, Trainers!

Greedy Gluttons

Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time

Guzzlord emerges!

Guzzlord, the Junkivore Pokémon, makes its Pokémon GO debut in five-star raids from Tuesday, November 8, 2022, to Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Event bonuses

1/2 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget. The widget is available on iOS and Android devices.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 km Eggs. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Munchlax—if you’re lucky!

Field Research task encounters

The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.

Timed Research

Timed Research will reward Trainers with berries—including Golden Razz Berries and Silver Pinap Berries—and an encounter with Snorlax.

Team GO Rocket takeover

From Monday, November 14, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 17, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Save Shadow Mewtwo!

Giovanni’s greed and ambition knows no limits, and this time his machinations include using Shadow Mewtwo! A new Special Research story will be available at the beginning of this event. Progress through it to receive a Super Rocket Radar, and chase down Giovanni!

The Special Research will be available to claim until the end of the Season of Light on December 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Shadow Pokémon

Team GO Rocket Grunts—as well as their leaders Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo—are also using different Shadow Pokémon. Help Spark, Blanche, and Candela overcome their adversaries and rescue the Shadow Pokémon!

In addition, Team GO Rocket has also turned the following Pokémon into Shadow Pokémon. Defeat Team GO Rocket Grunts to save them!

Event Bonuses

Team GO Rocket will be appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.
You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 12 km Eggs.

The following Pokémon can currently only be hatched from 12 km Eggs: Sandile, Pawniard, Vullaby, Pancham, and Salandit. Trainers can earn 12 km Eggs by defeating Team GO Rocket leaders.

Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to hatch Shiny Pawniard–if you’re lucky!

Field Research

A Field Research task awarding a Mysterious Component will be available.
