The Splatoon x Pokémon collaboration Splatfest will take place in Splatoon 3 from November 11 at 4 p.m. to November 13 at 4 p.m. PST, players can now vote for Grass type, Fire type, or Water type as their preferred first partner Pokémon

Nintendo has announced the next Splatoon 3 Splatfest, which is themed after Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Read on below to learn more:

What type do you prefer your first partner Pokémon to be: Grass type, Fire type, or Water type? Choose in this upcoming online competition!

With the impending release of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, it’s time to once again ponder that age-old question: When choosing your first partner Pokémon, which type should you choose? Your choices in these games, of course, are the Grass-type Sprigatito, the Fire-type Fuecoco, or the Water-type Quaxly. You’ll take an active part in this debate during the upcoming Splatoon × Pokémon Collaboration Splatfest that’s coming to Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch.

Splatfests are special, limited-time events in Splatoon 3 where the game’s hub area gets a new look and players can choose one of three causes to support. After picking your favorite, you’ll compete in Splatfest Battles during the event. The goal of these matches is to cover as much of each arena with ink as you can without getting splatted too often. Once the event concludes, the winning side will be revealed, and participants will earn in-game rewards for Splatoon 3 (the winning side, of course, will collect extra items).

You can choose your favorite Pokémon type from among Grass, Fire, and Water now in your Splatoon 3 game. The Splatfest will begin Friday, November 11, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. and end on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. PST. Please note that to take part in the Splatfest, you’ll need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and a Nintendo Account. Learn more at https://www.nintendo.com/switch-online.

Have fun splatting the competition during the Splatoon × Pokémon Collaboration Splatfest, then get ready to journey through the Paldea region alongside your favorite first partner Pokémon when Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet release on November 18, 2022!

Have you been looking for your shot to try out Splatoon™ 3, the game where adrenaline-fueled competition, over-the-top weapons and splashes of colorful ink are audaciously deployed for maximum effect? Or maybe you’re a regular player and you’ve been tempted to wade into the waters of the game’s lively Splatfest events? Now’s the chance you’ve been waiting for! Take a look at this teaser video to get a taste of the fun to come: https://youtu.be/tIb7o8-SDvs.

The next Splatfest in Splatoon 3 for the Nintendo Switch™ system is going to be a Splatoon x Pokémon collaboration! Splatfests are special, limited-time events when players with any Nintendo Switch Online membership can champion one of three causes. This new Splatfest lineup beginning on Nov. 11 will be one for the record books!

In the Pokémon series, players typically start their adventure by choosing a Pokémon with one of these three types: Grass-type. Fire-type. Water-type. What a conundrum … and a cute one at that! Each type has its own strengths and weaknesses. When choosing your partner Pokémon, which type would you choose? If you have thoughts on the matter, it’s time to settle it in a Splatfest! Starting today, you can make your choice for this epic Splatfest from the Splatsville hub area.

When you participate in Splatfest Battles, the goal is to ink as much of the stage as you can. Splatfests also feature Tricolor Turf War battles, where players splat it out in three-team messfests! It’s a great opportunity to gather some friends – you can squad up with three other players that voted for the same side and battle for your cause together. At the end of the event, the winning side will be revealed and in-game Super Sea Snails will be handed out, which you can redeem to add sub ability slots into a piece of gear. The side that prevails will win more Super Sea Snails!

The Splatfest will take place from Friday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. PT to Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. PT. But you can start getting ready today! During the Sneak Peek phase of the Splatfest, you can choose a team, check the SplatNet 3 app to see what team your friends are planning to vote for, post artwork in the hub supporting your team, level up your Tee, wipe your Tee to get Ability Chunks or earn and spend Conch Shells at the Shell-Out Machine for in-game rewards.

Want to commemorate this dream collab? Specially themed Splatoon x Pokémon tees that you can wear IRL will be available for purchase at Nintendo NY at a future date. You can also redeem 550 My Nintendo Platinum Points now and celebrate the Splatoon x Pokémon collab with a set of three fresh acrylic keychains!

The latest entries in the Pokémon series – the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games – launch for Nintendo Switch on Nov. 18! Plus, the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Edition launches at select retailers today, too.

To stay up to date on the latest research findings from the Squid Research Lab, follow the official Splatoon North American Twitter account. To learn more about Splatoon 3, please visit the game’s website.

Splatoon 3 – Splatoon x Pokémon Splatfest – Nintendo Switch

The Splatfest Sneak Peak is here and dares to ask: What’s your partner Pokémon type? Just ahead of the release of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, pick your type and lead your team to victory! Battle it out in the Splatfest from Nov. 11-13.

Grass-type. Fire-type. Water-type. Since 1998 (or 1996 depending on where you lived), this debate has perplexed our great philosophers. In the Pokémon™ series, players typically start their adventure by choosing a Pokémon with one of these types. Each has its own strengths, and each has its own weaknesses. (Like, they literally have strengths and weaknesses—it’s part of the game!)

But now we bring the question back to you. When choosing your partner Pokémon, which type would you choose: Grass-type, Fire-type, or Water-type? If you have thoughts on this subject, let’s settle it in a Splatfest*!

Splatoon x Pokémon Collaboration Splatfest

Yep, it’s true—the next Splatfest in the Splatoon™ 3 game is going to be a Splatoon x Pokémon collaboration. Splatfests are special, limited time events in Splatoon 3. The Splatsville hub area gets decorated in a fancy way, and players with any Nintendo Switch™ Online membership can choose to champion one of three causes. After you make your choice, you’ll participate in Splatfest Battles, where the goal is to ink as much of the stage as you can without getting splatted too often. At the end of the event, the winning side will be revealed, and in-game goodies will be handed out (with the winning side getting more, of course).

So, is the grass greener on your side? Does reading this make you all fired up? Do you want to splash cold water on your opponents’ hopes and dreams? Well, it might be time to start practicing. The Splatfest will take place: Friday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. to Sunday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. PT. If you haven’t already, you can purchase the game using the link below.

Also, don’t forget that the latest entries in the Pokémon series—the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games—come out on November 18!

Good luck, everyone.
