Official details revealed about the future of online connectivity in Pokémon Sword and Shield, most features will continue being available but some like Max Raid Battle events will no longer be updated as of November 1, 2022

■ Max Raid Battle

Max Raid Battles in the Wild Area will continue to be available, but “Wild Area News” will not be updated after November 1, 2022 (Tuesday).
After the update on November 1st (Tuesday), Pokemon that could not be met in normal play, such as Gigantamax Snorlax, will appear.

■ Battle stadium


We do not plan to update the season after the November season (using season 36/series 14) starting from November 1, 2022 (Tuesday).
There will be no monthly final ranking announcements for this season, and no rewards will be given according to the final rank.
In addition, the results of this season will not be reflected in the ranking battle results that can be viewed on the smartphone version of “Pokémon HOME”.

・Internet Tournament
We are not planning to hold an official tournament in the future.

・Fellow Tournament
Fellow Tournament will continue to be held and can be entered.
Regarding the results of fellow tournaments that can be viewed on the smartphone version of “Pokémon HOME”, the tournaments held by November 30, 2022 (Wednesday) will be displayed. After December 1st (Thursday), fellow tournaments can be held, but they will not be reflected in “Pokémon HOME”.

■ YY communication

You can continue to use YY communication Internet functions such as “communication exchange”, “magical exchange”, “card exchange”, and “communication battle”.
In addition, you can continue to use “Pokémon Camp” using the Internet.
