FinalHorizon Sci-Fi RPG Up On Kickstarter

October 07, 2022 by Polar_Bear

Head out into the deep and dark galaxy with FinalHorizon, a new sci-fi RPG that’s up on Kickstarter now. The campaign covers the core rulebook as well as a sandbox adventure for the game. Head on over and check it out now.

From the campaign:

DiceKnightGames is the passion project of long time friends and creative companions, Daniel Knight and Spencer Barrett. What began as a hobby between a couple of nerds quickly grew into a community of talented developers and play testers, all united in the goal of creating table top roleplaying games as accessible to new and young players as they are engrossing for RPG veterans.

FinalHorizon is a fast paced science fiction TTRPG with light rules and deep mechanics, but what does that mean, exactly? This system is designed to offer the same kind of experience that dense, “crunchy” sci-fi games provide in a streamlined package that’s easy to absorb and intuitive to play. You’ll find everything from battling to bartering covered in a single PDF or printed book, all in a streamlined format that ensures you’ll spend less time digging through and debating rules, and more time absorbed in gameplay! While FinalHorizon is intended to be played in its own setting, it can also be effortlessly adapted to almost all popular sci-fi franchises, making it an ideal tool running rules-light renditions of your favorite titles!

FinalHorizon is perfect for:

  •  Total Newcomers to tabletop roleplaying games.
  •  TTRPG Veterans looking for a narrative driven alternative to dense scifi games, without sacrificing the full experience of a classic scifi game.
  •  GMs struggling to find new players (or win over a stubborn party).
  •  Players overwhelmed by or disinterested in rules heavy systems.
  •  Kids as young as 12 (excellent way to introduce your kids and family to TTRPGs).
  •  Anyone that wants to spend more time rolling dice than they spend with a rulebook!

The campaign is up and running now with 27 days left to go.
