It was the thirteenth hour of the thirteenth day of the thirteenth month. “Lousy Smarch weather!” Ok, that reference aside, The Thirteenth Hour is a horror RPG adventure that’s up on Kickstarter now. Looking for an adventure to throw at your party in this spooky season? We’ve found one for you.
From the campaign:
Hallowe’en is the night that allows the spirits to dance and walk among us. For many, this night is filled with laughter and carved pumpkins, bags filled with treats, and masks of the dead. For the unlucky, the night can last a lifetime. And beyond.
The time is now the Thirteenth Hour of night. You are standing at the steps of number 7 Lanterne-of-Light Street. Before you stands an old Victorian house. From each window, you see the faces of the dead looking down at you. Ethereal mist envelops the building.
The front door to the house opens with a creak and beckons you in…..
…do you dare step into the haunted house?
Halloween has trapped the players in time. The hour on all the clocks reads thirteen. The clocks do not move forward or backward. Entering the house, the players will be greeted by a Zolta Fortune Teller. The machine will tell the players that a broken pocket watch is scattered around the house. Put all the pieces back together and wind the watch to restart time. Succeed, and the clocks in the house will move forward, and the crow will sing, indicating that the morning sun has arrived.
Fail, and you will be trapped in the Thirteenth Hour forever! Bwahahahaha!!
The campaign’s well up and over its funding goal (being fair, they weren’t asking for much) with 11 days left to go.
