Redevelop the Cityscape of ‘San Francisco’

Asmodee will release San Francisco, a new city-building game designed by Reiner Knizia, into retail on October 7, 2022.

In this game, players take on the roles of urban planners looking to redevelop the cityscape of this iconic coastal city. They will design the layout of district maps and connect the projects they take on with cable car tracks. Players will have to take on the right urban development projects at the right time to carefully create the landscape in order to build new skycrapers, all while racing other planners to get the best projects and move their vision of the cityscape forward. The goal of the game is to build the best redevelopment plan for the city, and win via gaining fame and prestige.

The game box comes with 4 City boards, a Project board, 28 Cable car markers, 87 Project cards, 23 Point tokens, 9 Skyscraper standees, a scoring board, 6 Bonus cards, 12 Contract tokens, 12 Bonus tokens, a Master Builder’s Medal token, and 10 Foundation tokens. This game is for two to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 45 to 60 minutes. It will retail for $34.99.

Asmodee will also release Tokaido Deluxe Edition, a premium version of the classic board game, into U.S. retail (see “‘Tokaido Deluxe Edition’“).
