We’re excited to announce more information about in-person meetups for August Community Day on Saturday, August 13, 2022! Raid, trade, and explore with Trainers in your area while catching Galarian Zigzagoon, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. You don’t need to register to join the fun!
Is an Obstagoon keeping you from attending one of our in-person meetups? Don’t worry—you’ll still be able to participate in Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day wherever you are.
Our in-person Community Day meetups will happen on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
The cities highlighted with an orange pin will feature in-person Community Day meetups.
Trainers at the locations highlighted with blue pins can look forward to receiving more items every time they spin a PokéStop.

Looking for more community fun? Pokémon GO Fest 2022 continues with one more in-person event in Sapporo, Japan. Tickets are still available! And don’t forget that this year’s Pokémon GO Fest will end with a global finale event on August 27, 2022!

- Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
- Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.* To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.
Tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
*Certain restrictions apply. Gifting cannot be completed if the recipient has purchased a Special Research ticket or has been gifted one already.
Event Bonuses

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time
Work together with other Trainers between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time to unlock additional bonuses!
If enough Pokémon are caught by Trainers with help from a single Lure Module, the 3× Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon near the Lured PokéStop will be increased to a 4× bonus Stardust for 30 minutes.*
*This bonus will not stack with the base 3× Catch Stardust bonus and will instead replace it for the duration.
Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day
Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time
After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to challenge unique four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Galarian Zigzagoon to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!
Four-star Raid Battles
Galarian Linoone will be appearing in four-star raids!
You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these raids.
Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles
Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Galarian Linoone, Galarian Zigzagoon will begin to appear in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!*
*Galarian Zigzagoon that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during August Community Day’s three-hour event period.
Timed Research
Timed Research focused on Galarian Zigzagoon will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You will need to catch a total of one hundred Galarian Zigzagoon to complete this Timed Research in full. As you progress through and complete the research tasks, you will receive the following:
Obstagoon Hat
Obstagoon Glasses
Obstagoon Gloves
Obstagoon Pose
These items will also be available for purchase in the in-game shop after the event.
Stickers
You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
