Horror writer Cullen Bunn and artist Andrea Mutti are collaborating on A Legacy of Violence, the first “maxi-series” published by Mad Cave Studios. The story follows Dr. Nick Shaw, a humanitarian doctor who is haunted by flashbacks of long-suppressed memories. He joins Doctors Without Borders and travels to Honduras, but things only get worse from there: His flashbacks are getting stronger, and a serial killer with a bent for human experimentation is preying on the small town where he works. Somehow it’s all tied together, and Nick has to figure out how the killer and his repressed memories are linked. The first issue will go on sale on October 5.
Bunn is the writer of The Sixth Gun, Harrow County, and numerous other horror series, and he is also the creator of Outland’s new shared universe (see “Cullen Bunn to Create Shared Comics Universe for Outland Entertainment”). Mutti recently collaborated with Paul Tobin on Bunny Mask (see “Bunny Mask”).
