Gemstone Publishing announced the launch of Overstreet Access, a new online collection management platform based on The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide.
The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is a baseline standard for collectible comic book pricing, and is often referenced in Heritage Auctions’ listings as a starting point for prices of graded comics (see “‘Fantastic Four’ #1 Breaches the Million Dollar Mark“). Overstreet Access combines the long-trusted prices of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide with a way to manage a personal collection all in an online platform. With this new online platform, subscribers can catalog their collections and utilize its Gap List technology to comb the platform’s database to identify missing issues. Steve Geppi, founder of Gemstone Publishing and Geppi Family Enterprises President, Chairman, and CEO, had the following to say about the new platform:
“Since its debut in 1970, the Guide has been a work in progress, constantly evolving to meet the growing needs of comic book collectors and dealers,” said Geppi. “Bob Overstreet’s guiding principal has been an unwavering commitment to getting it right. Now we see this dedication taken to the next level with Overstreet Access.”
The platform also allows users to search comics by story arc, characters, publishers, contributors, titles, and more to create Want Lists. These Want Lists can then be tethered to stock lists at their LCS to make the search for missing titles easier. The subscription service for this platform has three tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The higher tiers allow users to store larger collections and gain more access to editorial content.
