Yeah, I know. It’s still only July. But let’s face it, the spooky season can easily start right after the 4th. At least, I’m cool with that. It’s never too early to start getting together any spooky RPG sessions you want to run in a couple months and that’s where Fright Night Classics comes in. It’s a set of RPG adventures designed with a classic horror feel. The project is up on Kickstarter now.

FRIGHT NIGHT CLASSICS is a brand new tabletop roleplaying game module line intended for use with throwback percentile horror RPGs, games of the past and current retro versions. It is also possible to enjoy our adventures on their own or modify them for any system. Rules-light, follow-along instructions and pre-generated characters allow a gamemaster and players to have fun and hearken back to the great investigative, monster hunting scenarios of the Golden Age of RPGs.
In our first FRIGHT NIGHT CLASSICS module “Horror in Hopkinsville,” the player characters respond to reports of strange events surrounding the home of a young family in Kentucky. They soon realize that the cause of the disturbances is more unusual than anyone realizes, as they pursue several terrifying beings into their lair to eliminate the threat to the family. Based on the 1955 “Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter” from paranormal lore, the adventure offers a thrilling scenario along with maps and text-box narration that make gameplay fun and easy.
