Akora Cards will release Spellbound Wings 1st Edition, a new booster set for Akora TCG, into retail in late July 2022.
Akora TCG was originally offered up on a Kickstarter that raised approximately $246,551 via 433 backers (about $569 per backer), and the Kickstarter Edition print run was around 2700 boxes. Akora TCG is set in the anime-inspired ancient world of Akora. Players build alchemy decks to summon Akora and battle against rival alchemists all in an effort to become Master Alchemists. Akora Cards has also released a short manga webcomic on their site, detailing some of the lore of the world, and has plans in the works for producing more lore for this game in a manga format.
The Spellbound Wings 1st Edition set contains 206 mechanically unique cards as well as 24 full art rares, 6 Generation rares, 80 Holographic cards, and three 1 of 100 serialized cards only found in booster packs. The set also includes an Ancient Rare and a Secret Rare, of which there are only 5 produced of each. Packs come with 10 cards each, and there are 36 packs per box with 6 boxes to a case. The print run for this set is 30,000 boxes, and MSRP per box is $144.00 (this product also has a MAP price of $130 for 30 days).
